Super-Silly Sing-Along and Sprinkler Splashfest

Greenbelt Nature Center, 700 Rockland Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314

It's pretty simple, really: a guitar, some puppets, a bunch of singing, dancing and clapping, followed by a bunch of kids running through awn sprinklers and getting so wet and exhausted that their parents can put them to bed early so they can binge-watch Game of Thrones. Pretty sneaky, eh? Fun is Coming! And it's Free!

Baby Shark Mosh Pit

Things got a wee bit crazy at the Rock-A-Silly Band's show at Castleton Hill Moravian Preschool's end-of-year picnic last night; let's just say a new activity was born: the Baby Shark Mosh Pit.   What fun!

A Wonderful Welcome

How great is it to walk into a performance greeted by this???   My friends at Rainbow's Reach made me feel super special yesterday!

New Dorp Family Fun Festival

The weather started out dodgy but fortunately Mr. Sun came out and blessed us with some rays, so the New Dorp Family Fun Festival turned into one heckuva great time!   Here are some snaps to prove it.

The Easter Bunny Rocks!

I tell ya, there's nothing more fun than being the live soundtrack at the SI Zoo's Breakfast and Lunch with the Easter Bunny!   What an awesome time.

Spring is Coming!!!

In direct contrast to House Stark of Game of Thrones fame, on Saturday, February 2nd, Staten Island Chuck predicted an early Spring, to much fanfare and rejoicing.  The Rock-A-Silly Band provided the soundtrack to the festivities, and we even got to hang with congressman Max Rose and Deputy Borough President Ed Burke, who as peppered his speech with some of the corniest - and, let's face it - funniest jokes this side of the Mississippi.   Thanks, Chuck, for the hopeful forecast!

A Celebrity in the House

This week the inimitable Staten Island Chuck - aka my daughter - made an appearance at Rainbow's Reach, an after school program I play at each week.  He was a huge hit and loved meeting all the children.  Can't wait for Groundhog Day!

Happy New Year

Once again had the pleasure of performing for families at the Staten Island Children's Museum's annual New Year's Eve (Day) Party.   Simply put, there is no better way to celebrate the passing of the old and the coming of the new than by sharing music and laughter with lots of smiling faces and happy families.   Looking forward to even more silly musical fun in 2019!

Ho Ho Holy Santa Claus, Bat Man!

It's not every day you meet a celebrity.   Don't know about you, but you can keep Kanye, Kim and Kate: I'm sticking with the Man in Red: Señor Claus.   So happy to have secured me place on the Nice List by playing a charity show for immigrant children and their families at an event sponsored by Los Promotores and the Staten Island Giving Circle.   Talk about fun!

Mazel Tov!

Uncle Mikey and I recently had the honor of playing at our buddy Dylan's Bar Mitzvah/birthday party, and what a party it was!   He was surrounded by so many loving, supportive people, and he's an inspiration to us all.   All the best to Mr. Dylan!

Mr. Patrick's Little Reindeer

Chopper is such a good pup that he doesn't even mind wearing antlers and doing his best reindeer impression.   That holiday spirit is in the air!

Black Friday Show

You know you're partying when you have not one but THREE sharks in your posse!  Even Kanye can't boast about that!   The annual Black Friday show at the Greenbelt Nature Center was one heckuva a good time for all present.  What a great way to burn off those extra Thanksgiving calories!

That pesky shark keeps showing up at events everywhere this Halloween season.   People are wondering if he'll continue to make his sharky presence known around town once the holiday ends, but as of now he has no comment.  What he does know is that he is having one heckuva fun time entertaining families!
